Good to know

Before your MacBook repair

Confirm the model and fault
Match the MacBook model, screen size and year before choosing a display or battery repair. If it will not start or has been exposed to liquid, request an assessment first.
Agree transport before packing
Confirm the repair, transport method and packaging instructions before sending anything. If the device has a swollen battery, signs of battery damage or recent liquid exposure, tell the team first and ask whether it can be transported safely.
Prepare your data and contact details
Back up accessible files if the laptop is safe to use. Ask whether the charger is needed for the reported fault. Give a contact method you can use while the MacBook is away.

Questions

MacBook repair for Altrincham by post: your questions

Do Altrincham addresses get free collection because they are in Trafford?
No. Free collection covers M, SK, OL and BL postcodes. WA14 and WA15 addresses use the postal service, where £15 covers collection and delivery, separately from the repair.
Can I book a screen or battery repair if my MacBook will not start?
Request an assessment and describe what happens when you try to start it, including any liquid exposure. A MacBook that will not start may not need a new screen or battery, so it needs checking before a repair is chosen.
How long should I allow for the repair and postal journeys?
It depends on the model, the fault and parts availability. Ask the team for an estimate when you book, and allow extra time for the journey each way by post.
What does the 12-month repair warranty cover?
Defects in replaced parts and workmanship relating to the original repair. It does not cover new accidental or liquid damage after the repair. Read the warranty terms
